Purpose of KSNT
After the founders’ general meeting on March 22, 1980, KSNT was established under the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Public Interest Corporations. It aims to improve the level of NDT, evaluation, and inspection techniques; promote camaraderie among its members; and further contribute to industrial development. On June 1, 1981, the Society was recognized as an incorporated association by the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) (now known as the Ministry of Science and ICT).

| December 31, 2003 | Nomination of the Journal for registration with the Korea Research Foundation |

| May 13–14, 2010 | Hosted the Spring Annual Meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Society’s foundation |
